Margaret River Motel
The Grange on Farrelly approached our studio to rebrand their out dated logo and create a modern but timeless design. During the early stages of the consultation, owners Donna and Michael provided us with some fascinating history regarding the main reception building. This had a great influence on our concept development and thought process. The reception is situated inside a historical building called the ‘Big House.’ This was constructed in 1885 by M.C Davies, an iconic timber merchant who was known for his contribution towards a flourishing economy in the south west.
The two eucalyptus leaves in the design represent the karri and jarrah timbers that sustained the industry, this valuable resource was shipped to England where it was used for ship building and paving the streets of London.
